Learn to play Northumbrian Small Pipes – 10 weeks beginner course

The Northumbrian Small Pipes provide one of the iconic sounds of the region and a unique addition to the history and culture of the North. Gentler than their cousin the Scottish Highland pipes, small pipes are played by people from all walks of life for fun, at dances, concert setting, ceremonies and celebrations.

Side by Side Arts is pleased to add this course to the musical tuition and experiences we offer from our studio.

£120 per person – one hour long weekly sessions, Thursday 7pm – 8pm – 30 September to 2 December 2021.

If you wish to take home a set of pipes to practice between the weekly sessions, an additional £5 a week hire fee is required. (Total £50 weekly hire for the course.)
